plus two exams – private canditates application forms

Applications have been invited from private candidates for the higher secondary examinations to be held in March-April 2009.

Candidates can apply for re-examination only in subjects, in which they have failed using H category application forms.

Those applying for direct examinations should have passed their tenth public examinations or in an similar equivalent exam with a two years interval and complete 16 and half years of age as on 1 April, 2009.

The examinations will he held according to the 2005-’06 syllabus. Candidates, who take direct exams for the first time will be allowed to write any one subject in the existing five subjects of the 2005-’06  syllabus along with part one and part two language subjects.

For re-examinations, candidates need to pay Rs 50 for every subject along with an additional amount of Rs 35 and direct candidates have to pay Rs 187 in total that includes Rs 150 for exam fees, Rs 35 for additional fees, and Rs two for hearing and speaking ability test.

The fees can be paid through a demand draft of a nationalised bank or bankers cheque to Director of Government Examinations, Chennai  600006.

Application forms can be obtained from the office of Chief Educational Officer, District Educational Officer offices, Joint Director of Education(Puducherry), Government Examinations regional deputy director office in Tirunelveli, Madurai, Tiruchi, Coimbatore, Cuddalore, Vellore and Chennai.

The application forms can be purchased directly from 20 to 28 November on all working days from 10 a.m to 5 p.m or can be downloaded from the website http://www.tn.gov.in/dge.

Applicants for private examinations in certain districts should submit the completed forms at the zonal office of the examinations department in their revenue district through registered post or in person.

Candidates in Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi, Ramanathapuram, Sivagangai, Viruchunagar, Theni, Madurai, Dindugul, Neelagiri, Coimbatore, Erode, Salem, Namakkal, Krishangiri, Dharmapuri, Pudukottai, Karur, Perambalur, Tiruchi, Nagapattinam, Tiruvarur, Tanjore, Karaikkal, Puducherry, Villupuram, Cuddalure, Tiruvannamalai, Vellore, Kacheepuram, Tiruvallur and Chennai can submit the forms at the Government Examinations Zonal Joint Directorate office in their respective revenue district.
